Class Attire

Dress Code

Hair must be pulled back away from the face and secured. Combination classes for ages 3-9 yrs old will need black tap shoes and pink ballet shoes. Ballet and tap shoes are available for purchase at the Studio. All shoes and dancewear must be marked with your child’s name.

All other classes will have shoes assigned once costumes are selected for recital. However, each student will need tap, ballet, and jazz shoes for all Intermediate and Advanced Combination classes, as well as, all Performing Company classes for weekly class use. NO STUDENT WILL BE ALLOWED TO DANCE IN SOCKS.

Female Students:
Students are expected to wear dancewear that allows the teacher to see bodylines for correct placement. Acceptable dancewear includes: leotards, tights, booty shorts, sports bras, crop tops, and jazz pants.

Male Students:
Any type of fitted active wear. We prefer shorts and a shirt.

Pointe Students:
Students are required to wear a leotard (any color) and tights. Booty shorts or a ballet skirt can be worn as a supplement to the leotard and tights. ABSOLUTELY NO TSHIRTS, TANK TOPS, CAMISOLES, OR SOCKS MAY BE WORN IN CLASS.

Ballet Technique Students:
Students are required to wear a leotard (any color) and tights. Booty shorts or a ballet skirt can be worn as a supplement to the leotard and tights. ABSOLUTELY NO TSHIRTS, TANK TOPS, CAMISOLES, OR SOCKS MAY BE WORN IN CLASS. Split sole leather or canvas ballet shoes are required.
